Since 29th of August 2018, Stunnel/Stealth Mode is now automatically supported in our Windows App. Simply go to "Special" Tab in the main app screen and connect to a X-Stunnel server. That will initiate stunnel obfuscation behind the scenes and allow you to connect even from the more restricted networks or to difficult servers to reach in our nework like mainland China.

Some internet service providers perform DPI (Deep Packet Inspection) on the traffic, which allows them to identify and block VPN connections. This practice is customary in some countries as part of their privacy intrusion policy. Therefore, in order to use VPN services in those countries, the VPN traffic must be hidden, or obfuscated. One way to accomplish this is by utilising Stunnel, which additionally encrypts and encapsulates the VPN traffic, so that it looks as regular SSL traffic on port 443 (HTTPS).
