Here is the list of the countries with VPN servers where you should NOT download any torrents or endeavour in any other p2p file sharing:

Austria
Australia
France
Japan
Singapore
Sweden
United Kingdom
Isle of Man
Iceland

Update:

Torrents/P2P are allowed now on Canada, Germany and USA servers marked with P2P

All other servers are fine until further notice. We appreciate your cooperation.

Iceland ? Why is that ? All other countries sound reasonable though since they have very strict Copyright Policies…

We received a DMCA notice from the server provider in Iceland and they threatened to close down the server.

They’ve become quite aggressive about torrenting on their servers. There will be a torrents indicator in the future software versions and in Members Area’s server-status page, so that everyone can see which servers specifically allow torrents and which don’t, because there are some servers in some of the countries above which don’t mind torrent usage.

We don’t allow or tolerate copyright infringement activities, but torrenting can be used for legal purposes too as there are many legal torrents out there. Therefor we’re doing our best to block torrenting on as little servers as possible.

Did not know about the no no list. So I have made adjustments accordingly. This could have been more clear during the ordering process. So I hope the feature will be implemented in future software updates. …

Is there a list of countries that do not allow uploading? I connected through Ireland and my DLs worked fine but nothing is uploading at all.

@Dakotah which ports is your p2p client using for the connection? So that we can check if they’re blocked for any reason on the Ireland server

8999

I can change it if need be, I’m not using any local port forwarding either.

@smokingdans, actually it will be okay to download torrents/p2p on all Washington and Atlanta servers and some Dallas and some LosAngeles within 2-3 days from now.

There will be around 10-15 new USA P2P compatible servers added in that time frame.

Which servers don’t allow torrents now? Are the torrents blocked completely on those servers?

@nova if you see “P2P” in the name of the server then it’s not blocked even if it is in the country listed above
